hello guys! im back! went for holiday with mum last week. we went to KL for 5D4N. i will be uploading photos as i blog. hehe. im kind of excited in blogging this post. we went for our trip from 25 March to 29 March. me and mum stick together as close as possible as this is our first time travelling alone. usually, we will go on a holiday trip with my uncle and his family. this time, my mum wanted to try something new and wanted to explore KL with me alone. well, both my dad and bro are unable to make it as they are busy with work and NS respectively.
and, sorry for the late post! been busy lately! :)

DAY 1 (25 MARCH 2013, MONDAY)



so,we took a bus (StarMart Express) to KL which cost only SGD55/person (to and fro). i think this is a good price. as posted in the picture above, you can see that the chair is comfortable as it is big. it comes with a massage chair with a control by its side. we are able to control it if we want to use the massage function. the function are : on, off, auto, full.
not only that, we are able to adjust the seat to the extend that we are able to lie down for our comfort and adjust the bottom part to rest our feet. (well, i would say calf instead :D )
since we board the bus at beach road (golden mile), the journey from that place to KL took at least 6 hours. it will depends on the custom jam at the tuas checkpoint as well as Malaysia checkpoint and also the driver's speed. when going to KL, there is only 7 people including me and mum who board the bus. by rights, our bus timing was 0900 but we arrived around 0805 and the kind lady gave us an early bus instead. so we took the 0830 bus. fearing i would get bus sick, i listen to the songs in my iPod. thank god, i did not vomit on my journey there, as well as when coming back. the bus alight us in front of Berjaya Times Square. we reached there around 0220



truth be told, we had a hard time finding our hotel as it is our first time there. so, we asked around and finally managed to find our hotel. we chose Federal Hotel. it was near Times Square. well, i would say, walk-able distance. :) mum booked online so it would cost us SGD 409 for 5D4N without breakfast. the price includes hotel taxes. we booked it from Agoda. for those who would like to book hotel online, i would strongly encourage you guys to use Agoda as it the final price includes hotel taxes and everything. you will not have to pay any additional charges when checking out. (that's what happen to me and mum :D ) we took superior room with two separate beds as seen in the picture above.
for Federal, there are smoking and non-smoking floor. since me and mum don't smoke, we took the non-smoking floor. :) you can ask for the non-smoking floor while checking in.
after entering our room and unpacking our clothes, we took a quick rest before heading out to grab our lunch.

we head down to the lobby and ask the person there for direction to the Pavilion. it was said that a lot of artists in Malaysia went there for shopping. to the mall, it took us around 5-10 minutes walk. it was near and we just need to walk straight ahead to reach to the mall. see, federal is accessible and convenient for us to go to the shopping malls. along the way, there are BB plaza, H&M, Uniqlo, Sephora as we walked towards Pavilion. finally after some walking, we reached the mall. we tried to find either Guardian or Watson to purchase our toiletries which is mainly toothpaste, toothbrush and cotton wool(for mum). after purchasing that, we headed to the restaurant Madam Kwan's.

the food tastes so good and it costs RM 64 which is about SGD 26. quite affordable right, to eat at a  restaurant. oh, before entering the restaurant, we bough puffs at Bread Papa's. mum bought durian puffs while i chose chocolate! :) no offence but i dont eat durian. :)

after eating, we went out of the mall and went into Sephora then to Uniqlo and the BB plaza before heading back to hotel. i bought my friends some souvenir at BB plaza.
spend the night in the hotel room and i use wifi. :) will need to ask the receptionist for the username and the password for us to enjoy the hotel's wifi. also, in a room they will only allow one device to use wifi. if the other devices want to use it too, we will need to logout of the current device. annoying right... hahah.


so we are hungry and went to plaza low yat which is a walking distance to our hotel. bought 2 pieces of doughnuts from big apple(meant for the next day's breakfast), grapefruit green tea from Gongcha and 2 chicken kebabs. :) yummy! :D

DAY 2 (26 MARCH 2013, TUESDAY) 




after a good night sleep and had the doughnuts, we head out. upon reaching the hotel's lobby, mum asked one of the crews some direction. following the crew's direction, we arrived to our destination which is Kenanga Wholesale City. (KWC) from our hotel to the mall, it took us about twenty minutes to reach there by foot. tiring but well, it's an experience! :) since some of the roads are still undergoing constructions, we asked for directions again to see which route is shorter. we reached the mall 5 minutes to 10am. so as we entered the mall, some of the shops are just starting to open it. well, it's 10am. haha. so both of us went for a tour in the mall and wow, there are so many stores in that mall! one thing i dont like about KWC is that the more you buy, the cheaper it will be. well, this is definitely a good deal for those who ran a clothing shop but for me and mum, not really good as we aare required to buy 6 set of the same design in order to get a cheaper price. for an example, 1 piece costs RM35 but if you buy 6 sets in total, it will be about 20-25RM each. see, the bargain is totally good but i am not going to wear the same design of clothes with different colour right? haha. so, maybe if you were to visit this mall, it will be best if you were to go it together with a group of friends. on a lighter note, one shop in KWC allow you to buy clothes of 6 sets with different design to get a lower price. :) it is located at level 5 and the boss is a chinese male (super friendly!) after some shopping, we are hungry and we hunt for food! as shown in the picture above, from MJ (yeah, that's the stall name!) nice right?!

delicious! mum love the durian popiah roll! hahaha! we are tired from all the walkings in the huge mall and took a cab ride back home. before boarding the cab, mum asked how much and manage to negotiate to RM8 back to our hotel. :)
